I am Jennifer: mama of two sweet boys who aren’t as little as they used to be (*sniff*). I started this blog as a way to cope with life as a stay-at-home mom. I named it Poop In My Hair because one afternoon, when my boys were still in diapers, I ran my fingers through my hair and discovered a bit of dried poop and thought to myself, “that about sums it up.”
As time went on, my marriage ended, my boys got bigger, and my writing focused more on the joys and struggles of divorce and single parenting. For me, this blog is half comic relief and half free therapy. I hope it is for you too and thanks for stopping by!

Always love to see your writing! Being a mom myself, it’s great to see others go through similar things – poop and all. Keep it up!

Love your blog! Once after being with small kids all day, I went out at the end of the day for a drink with a friend. She asked what was that on my shoulder- I looked and it was a big blob of snot. I vaguely remembered holding a small sobbing child who must’ve used my shirt as a hanky. Ah, mothering- what an adventure!

    Hi Jenn,
Reading yer blog reminds me, once again, how happy I am that my children are grown! (And I do use the term “grown” very loosely). Keep writing, & I will keep reading! love, T.

  5. Thanks for reading and responding (o: Writing itself is bliss for me; knowing that others are reading is the icing on the cake.

  7. Hi Jen, I found your site on Facebook, thru Mommy Bloggers, good stuff! Seems we have the same quirky sense of humor about motherhood, that’s rare to find. I’m now a follower 🙂

Hi! A mommy friend suggested your blog to m after reading my (supposed) funny facebook posts about poop, puke, boogers and other wonderful things produced by my children (girls ages 4 and 2). I’m a happy new follower! 🙂
